Wine and Walking holidays
Wine and Walking - an easy walking holiday
This delightful week blends gentle guided walks with wine tasting. The atmosphere is relaxed, with the focus on soaking up the stunning scenery and savoring the delicious Rhône wines. While there are many wine tours in France, few combine walking and wine quite like this. Above all, it’s a walking holiday rather than a wine tour—but if you love wine, it’s the perfect choice.

The Drome - A heavenly location
We’re in the heart of the Drôme Valley in the Rhône-Alpes region, perfectly positioned with the Rhône to the west, the Alps to the north, Provence to the south, and the Italian border just a few hours to the east. Stunning scenery, golden Provençal sunlight, and clear blue skies set the stage for our carefully curated day walks, designed by our guide to showcase the region’s remarkable diversity.
To the north and east, we explore the rugged landscapes of the Southern Alps and Vercors National Park. Higher in altitude yet gentle underfoot, these walks are made easy with the minibus, bringing you to breathtaking viewpoints where eagles and vultures soar and chamois and ibex roam.
To the west and south lies wine country, with rolling hills, vineyards, sunflowers, and lavender. Here we pause to visit local winemakers, taste their wines, and learn about their craft. You’ll see why Rhône wines are celebrated for their quality and excellent value.
Food and Wine
Each evening, you’ll be delighted by the excellent four-course meals served on the terrace at La Maison Rose, prepared fresh with local ingredients and paired with a wide selection of regional wines. Wine tasting in France is always a pleasure—you’ll uncover some truly delicious wines from one of France’s most unspoiled regions, including varieties rarely found anywhere else in the world.
